Busy entrepreneur, mother, wife,
and creator of Renton Woman Magazine,
Erica Owens shares her inspirations for
starting a photography business, which ultimately led to a bigger adventure of designing a publication that reaches across
the lifespan of women. Each month, Renton Woman encompasses something for
EVERY woman, which is what we all love
most about this very unique online magazine.
Interestingly, Owens discusses that
she never desired to be a photographer.
As a child, she wanted to become an educator. Though once researching salaries in
education, she decided instead to major in
accounting.
Despite the lack of desire for her
younger self to become a photographer,
she reveals, ‘’I always loved taking photos.’’
Though having a passion for taking photos
wasn’t enough for her to switch up careers
at that time.
Timing is everything if you’ve ever
learned a few life-lessons! However, it
appears Erica had a future in photography looming underneath the surface- our
thoughts really do create and bring forth
our reality, ladies!
Erica had a very successful accounting career, but the love of taking pictures
was still very much a passion. She says,
‘’What appealed to me the most about being a professional photographer is the ability to run my own business and do some-
thing I loved.’’ Ladies, don’t we all desire this?!
The ability to be our own boss, work the hours
WE want, while doing what WE love! YES!
So what finally prompted the now proud
owner of E. Owens Photography? She says,
