Section 6 .
Committees 6.1 Designation and Substitution
There shall be a Medical Executive Committee ( MEC ) and such other standing and ad hoc committees as established by the MEC and enumerated in the Organization and Functions Manual , a part of the Rules & Regulations . Meetings of these committees will be either regular or special . Those functions requiring participation of , rather than direct oversight by the Medical Staff may be discharged by Medical Staff representation on such hospital committees as are established to perform such functions . The Chief of Staff may appoint ad hoc committees as necessary to address time-limited or specialized tasks .
6.2 Medical Executive Committee ( MEC ) 6.2.1 Committee Membership :
