A stroke survivor’ s journey begins when they leave the hospital or rehabilitation center.
After suffering a stroke, the risk of having another one is much greater. Renown’ s Neurovascular Clinic provides many services to support your road to recovery.
Renown’ s Neurovascular Clinic will help provide: Education on what caused your stroke and how to prevent another stroke. Counseling with you and your caregiver regarding your medications. Ongoing evaluation of your recovery progress and recommendations for next steps. Access to stroke resources within the community.
When discharged from the hospital, call your primary care provider( PCP) and the neurovascular clinic for a follow-up appointment.
It is generally recommended that you see your PCP in 1-2 weeks and follow up with the Renown Neurovascular Clinic within 30 to 45 days.
