Symptoms You Might Have After a Stroke
Remember, your symptoms are unique and might be different depending on the location and type of stroke you had.
Physical
Muscle weakness or paralysis- might only affect one side of your body Difficulty with balance or coordination. Difficulty eating, drinking, or swallowing. Vision problems might include trouble seeing out of one or both eyes and blurred or double vision. Pain- can include a burning, numbness, or tingling pain known as neuropathy.
Cognitive
Memory problems- difficulty remembering things, especially short-term memory. Speech problems- difficulty speaking, writing, or understanding what someone is telling you. Brain fog- feeling forgetful, confused, or having difficulty concentrating.
Emotional
Depression- feeling more down, anxious, or having mood swings. Impulsivity- inattention, irritability, or feeling careless. Emotional outbursts- Feeling angry, sad, or frustrated.
