Hot Work Permit

Any work involving the use of open flames , welding equipment or spark producing apparatus is considered hot work and has the potential of creating a fire or explosive condition

All smoke detectors in the area of hot work must be covered

Prior to the start of any hot work , the construction foreman must complete a Hot Work Permit . The permit must be submitted to Facilities Operations and the Construction Project Manager

A separate hot work permit must be obtained for any additional days
