A calming blend of Scandinavian simplicity and warm natural materials created a bedroom and ensuite that feel seamlessly connected. Light oak tones, soft textiles, gentle curves, and Champagne Bronze accents added warmth without overwhelming the design. Layered textures, practical storage, and wellness-focused products transformed everyday routines into a luxurious experience, proving that beautiful rooms should also work beautifully for everyday life.

DESIGN MOOD
For the ensuite, I wanted the design to flow naturally from the bedroom. I chose the WOODY Collection vanity from Bath Depot, whose warm wood finish echoed the bedside tables and reinforced the connection between the two spaces. Its soft-close drawers, generous storage, and wave-patterned front added both function and visual interest.
To complete the vanity, I selected Delta’ s Bonacci™ Two Handle Widespread Bathroom Faucet in Lumicoat ® Champagne Bronze. Inspired by the Fibonacci Spiral found throughout nature, the Bonacci™ Collection brought a sense of organic beauty and tranquility while introducing a warm metallic accent that complemented the palette.
I finished the space with tile from SS Tile & Stone. The selection struck the perfect balance between timeless and contemporary. Subtle movement and texture added depth and character while maintaining the clean, calming aesthetic I wanted throughout the ensuite.
For the primary bedroom, I chose the TÄRNKULLEN bed from IKEA. Its soft upholstered cover, relaxed skirt, and carefully sewn details gave the room a timeless, elegant foundation. Styled with crisp white bedding and layered accent pillows, it became the focal point of the space.
When adding decorative pillows or a touch of playful charm to a room, I always consider how the space will be lived in. For instance, I love how the iconic Squishmallows™ plush line can add a whimsical, chic accent to a modern daybed or lounge area. I’ m a big fan of mixing, matching, and layering different textures to create an environment that feels as inviting as it looks. I’ m also excited to try the new SquishPillow. Designed specifically for sleep, it combines the brand’ s signature, ultra-soft fill with a velvety pillowcase for an elevated, incredibly cozy experience.
For the nightstands, I wanted a natural wood look, so I selected IKEA’ s NORDKISA bedside tables and paired them with VINDKRAFT lamps. Their sculptural molded paper pulp shades, inspired by wind-swept sand dunes, introduced organic texture while creating a warm, calming atmosphere.
To tie the room together, I added a plush rug from Cozey. Their rugs offer equal parts style and function, with beautiful designs and sizes ranging from runners to area rugs. I also love that they’ re machine washable and built to handle the realities of everyday life.
Finally, I added the new Honeywell Small- Medium HEPA Air Purifier. Sleek, compact, and easy to use, it’ s a smart addition to the bedroom. It captures dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, and other microscopic airborne allergens and particles that pass through the filter. Its ultra-quiet Sleep Mode and nofuss LessMess™ filter change system bring thoughtful function to one of the rooms you use most.
