Replacing or removing an outdated fireplace can be an expensive
project. Painting out the brick and dark wood mantel and adding a gas
fireplace insert took this room from dated to modern and the fireplace
is now a selling feature! - Amanda Shields, www.mintconditionstaging.com
Originally, this small
dining area had an
awkward closet door.
Replacing this with a
sliding door leaves the
space unobstructed
and makes the new
pantry area easier
to access. A creative
wall feature adds a
decorative touch that
doesn't get in the way
of opening the sliding
door! - Mary Gordon, www.

The flooring in this home had been updated
to a dark gray color but the traditional
staircase did not match. It is important to
create a seamless transition from floor to
floor so this staircase needed a makeover!
We painted the staircase in a modern black
and white color scheme and incorporated
black, white and gray tones into the runner
to create a brighter, more modern look that
also made the staircase appear wider! - Laurie
A cost effective way to
add color and life to a
space is to add greenery.
