eating nook for the couple's small dog. The designer cites the backsplash detailing as being one of the more cost-effective touches, "The backsplash tile is relatively simple and inexpensive, but the chevron pattern and charcoal grout really elevated the look."  Linda also notes that she saved on the pendant lights in the kitchen – (an inexpensive find via Wayfair) – and splurged on the cow hide and artwork in the living room. While cost was definitely a factor in this project, Linda imparts that her focus was less so on budget and more so on the needs of her clients, "Good design is not necessarily about the budget available, but how well a space can be designed to reflect the needs and personality of the client. As a designer, I’m a big believer of having a realistic budget for the scope of work required, but to also be conscious of how to blend “high and low” cost items together to create an amazing look in your home."  An exposed brick wall marks the divide between the kitchen area and the rest of the main floor. Off-white walls lend brightness to the space and allow the accenting features, such as the black door and window frames, to really pop. As an accent to the off-white, Linda employed hints of rich red, which can be found within the tones of the warm wood floors, the artwork, and the
