HE JUNCTION IS ONE OF TORONTO'S
FASTEST GROWING COMMUNITIES, AND
FOR THIS YOUNG NEWLY-MARRIED COUPLE, the
energetic neighborhood has always been home.
"They grew up in the area and wanted to remain there," says
principal designer, Linda Mazur. Linda and her design team
are to credit for the complete overhaul of the property,
which began in early 2016. The semi-detached home
now encompasses 1,600 square feet, three bedrooms, three
and a half bathrooms, and a two-floor rear addition, but when
the couple first approached Linda, the space was completely
gutted.
"They wanted a modern, open concept, well-lit
home," mentions Linda. "They decided to expand the rear
of the home slightly to allow for a large kitchen as they both
enjoy cooking and entertaining, and wanted a large open area
for future kids."
The expansiveness of the kitchen is just one of its many selling
points. The space is flushed with natural light, and includes
a mix of both classic and contemporary elements, including
matte grey cabinetry, brushed gold accents, and a customized
