As owners of a local greenhouse business , these homeowners spend a great deal of time outdoors and they love to entertain as well . Their outdated backyard was not the oasis they desired . Features of the old space included an old , out of service hot tub and two small decks that resulted in little space for guests .
When planning their new backyard paradise , the goal was to create one large , functional space where everyone could mingle while focusing on high quality materials and custom details . The space also needed to incorporate multiple grills as the homeowner is an avid griller with a collection of barbecues and smokers .
The new deck offers about 450 square feet of usable space made up of two Trex decks , two cedar pergolas and custom skirting . The two pergolas create multiple living spaces to provide plenty of opportunity for creating zones and offering spaces for multiple guests to enjoy at once . A picture frame detail on the deck boards results in a two-tone color reveal for a truly custom feel .
