MAKE IT AN EXTENSION OF YOUR INDOOR SPACE There needs to be a flow and connection to your interior furniture . It doesn ’ t need to be exactly the same , but I do like the idea of going a bit more bold in an outdoor space . Try to have some sort of connectivity , especially if you can see it from inside .
DOUBLE DUTY FURNITURE I love the idea of a small table and poufs in an outdoor space . You can use them to eat dinner or for extra seating . Having furniture and smaller pieces that can be moved around makes the space multi-functional . You can also get firepits that double as coffee tables .
COMFORT IS KEY The more comfortable the space , the more time you will spend outside . As much as it ’ s great to have a beautiful design , if you and your guests aren ’ t comfortable in those chairs , you really won ’ t spend much time outside .
ADD ACCESSORIES Don ’ t forget to add pillows and throws . It adds personality and makes the space much more comfortable and cozy .
KNOW YOUR PERSONAL DESIGN STYLE Like with any room , get clear on your style and what you like . Are you more modern , traditional or bohemian ? Do you like a lot of color and pattern or do you like a textured space ?
