This forever home maximizes beautiful views .
When planning the design of their forever home , these homeowners wanted to take advantage of the excellent view , design with consideration for future needs and integrate pieces that honor their love for travel and art .
Selecting large windows and a generous 20 ’ lift and slide door that merges the living room and dining room with the balcony allows the view to really shine . The main living space is located all on the same level , aligned with the street . On one end of the house is the entertainment and working spaces while the other end of the house contains the bedrooms , which include the two master bedrooms and a guest room .
The lower level is the main entertainment area with a rec room , walk-in wine room with bar , a theatre room , and a gym . The house is also equipped with a decently sized one-bedroom suite for possible guests or renters . Even on the lower level , the view is considered with equally large windows and double French doors which open up to a beautiful private backyard complete with its own golf putting green .
While the homeowners are still young , they wanted to plan for future needs so they could age in place . The house was designed with that in mind with rough-ins for a future elevator and a curbless shower . Additional to that , the shower has backing behind the wall for any future installations of shower grab bars .
Inspired by their love for travel and art , two standout features of the home include a beautiful , custom glass art piece behind the stove and natural blue onyx stone in the master ensuite shower . This shower was designed to feel like a waterfall was coming down the wall and shower seat onto the pebble floors . The reflection off the recessed rain head was a plus !
