Designers are able to shop and browse
while attending markets around the world,
looking for new products and ideas. Here
are a few of our favorite finds.
Rose Quartz
We’ve seen a lot of Rose Quartz and
we liked it so much that we used it in our
Glen and Jamie collection with Van Gogh
Furniture and added it to the Toronto
showroom.
Lux Fabrics
Plush fabrics have been popular for
some time now and there is no question
that velvet has been one of the most
popular fabrics used in upholstery. We
love it because of the deep rich colors that
velvet produces. We have noticed this past
season, that deep green has become very
popular, not only in upholstery but also in
accessories, rugs, cushions and throws.
It’s a color that works brilliantly with golds,
blues and grays.
Geometric Patterns
Art Deco was a style that was born of the
Art Nouveau period and is identified by its
angular geometric patterns along with high
round peaks. It has long been considered
a very beautiful time in the history of art
and architecture. We are pleased that it
has again influenced design. It is more
subtle than it was after the release of the
Great Gatsby film a few years ago but it is
still trending in furniture and accessories.
