Nautical Dream
This boat island was actually built like an authentic
dory boat but with a flat bottom. A built-in microwave
drawer and additional storage space were also
included in the stern.

Small Space Solution
The kitchen was like a Rubik’s Cube puzzle and this butcher-block-
topped rolling island helps mak e this small space look and feel bigger.
This movable workspace is easily shifted to be used as a stove-side
counter top when needed, and stored as a regular counter top when
not in use. The idea came to designer Nichola Evans from Kon-Strux
Developments when she was designing the space and trying to decide
how to increase its flow and functionality.
