Renova the Rabbit was alone, abandoned on the green tile in the middle of the rainbow checkered carpet. Francisco scooted to Renova with a question in mind but Renova quickly turned around, avoiding conversation. He was a fox. Renova had heard rumors that foxes were dangerous. They had been known to play tricks on rabbits. He had never seen a fox do anything bad, but his parents had told him enough stories to scare him. Renova mumbled to himself, “I have to go.” iv
