All three levels of the home needed to be completely renovated . The main floor consists of a living room , dining room and kitchen where the family gathers , entertains and enjoys time together . Upstairs , the entire floor has been deemed the “ parents ' floor ,” hosting the primary suite and office space . In the basement , the girls ’ bedrooms , a bathroom , a mint green kitchenette and a TV lounge area create an extra fun and relaxing space for making memories together .
Updating an older home comes with its own set of challenges , including the design challenge that comes from wanting to stay true to the original “ vintage ” character of the house while still bringing modernized style and function to meet the needs of today ’ s lifestyle . Blending the old with the new takes careful planning but the end result , in this case , was absolutely stunning !
