Ecobuild preview Renew your business Plumb Center’s Practical Installer returns for another year at Ecobuild 2015 For a number of years now, Practical Installer has enlightened visitors on the benefits of renewable and energy efficient technology in an effort to get more installers to embrace the industry. This year though, the focus is on those who are already looking to go green – with the emphasis being on turning interest into a viable, profit making business. Train to gain Many installers have now taken the time to train and get MCS accredited – but there’s always more to learn! The launch of the domestic RHI means more and more home and business owners are looking to make the switch to renewable and energy efficient technology, and with so many different innovations in the industry there’s loads to learn for installers. Plumb Center will be helping installers get all the information they need to develop their existing renewable business. Visitors will be able to get advice on what technologies are hot right now, and what courses they need to take to get involved with them – as well as in-depth Q&A sessions with industry experts. Clinical business It’s important to get installers swotted up on renewables – as they are the future – but business owners can’t be expected to shell out for training courses and new products if it doesn’t boost their bottom-line. Running any business has the potential to be stressful, not to mention one that uses technologies that you’re a relative newbie to. This year Practical Installer will be debuting its innovative ‘Business Clinic’ to give installers all the help they need to hit the ground running with their renewables business. The clinic will be looking to get business owners turning a profit as soon as possible, so that they can make their switch seem worth it. Visitors will experience tailored, one-to-one sessions, detailing opportunities in the biomass boiler, heat pump and solar thermal markets. Plumb Center’s specialist renewables team will also be giving individual advice to installers on how to make their business successful and profitable. Visitors will get practical advice – detailing the best leads in the renewables market, all the way to the quotation and installation process. Visitors will also get the chance to cast their eyes on Plumb Center’s exciting Computer Aided Design (CAD) service. The CAD designers can use the service to provide detailed digital representations for heat pump, biomass boiler or underfloor heating projects, just by taking the business owner’s relevant information. Touchy feely You can’t call an event Practical Installer if visitors can’t get up close and personal with the exhibits. Installers will be able to get hands on with the very latest renewable and energy efficient products from the industry’s top brands. There will be live demonstrations of top renewables products like the Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pump and Grant biomass boilers. Visitors can look forward to seeing products from the industry’s leading manufacturers as the event is supported by; Mitsubishi Electric, Dimplex, Grant, Trianco, Honeywell, Fernox, Wilo, Heatrae Sadia, Pumphouse, Adey, Pegler Yorkshire and Uponor. No time to waste There’s still time to get registered, and it doesn’t cost a thing, so there’s no reason for renewable installers of any level not to take a day off the tools and get themselves down to Practical Installer. www.renewableenergyinstaller.co.uk | 15
