Glazer Builder Inc. built the original house and was asked last year to do a complete reno- vation for the son and daughter-in-law of the original owners. The house was modular in nature and the idea was to transform it to an open, airy floor plan where most rooms would take advantage of the fantastic view of Lake Lochmere. A complete renovation includes an addition to the rear of the house and a bump-out in the front. Almost all interior walls were removed and a complete new design created, including removing staircases. Con- siderable structural elements had to be dealt with in creating the new floor plan. Emphasis was placed on the home’s orientation to the lake. Our design team worked on every aspect of the resi- dence including a new kitchen, walk-in butler’s pantry, decking (with cable railing) and a master suite with an incredible bathroom retreat.
