Lymphatic Drainage

You want to use tics to drain my what? Lymphatic Drainage (pronounced: lim fa “tic” dra naj) is a gentle form of soft tissue work which stimulates the body’s lymphatic system allowing it to more easily circulate in the body. It removes excess fluids from body tissues, decreases toxicity (toxicity = yucky stuff), improve immune function (cold and flu fighters), balance fluids (so we don’t look like water balloons, or prunes), stimulate

the rest and digest functions of the body, and the the maturing of immune cells.

The lymphatic system is the unsung hero of the human body. It performs herculean tasks while most people ask “the what system?” The lymph system is most easily understood as the sewer system. We all know what happens to the streets when the sewer system backs up. But imagine if it was sewage instead of rainwater. Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) or Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)(same thing different schools) is a gentle massage technique that helps to open up the sewers Congested fluid (just think mucus) is not only a breeding ground for bacteria but it prevents the flow of fluid and subsequently the removal of toxins from the body. The body has to flush the toilet and this is the handle. In a body that is 70% water we definitely want it moving!
