Alpha Male Nation, Inc. provides our youth with supportive programs that extend the
reach of public schools and assist in breaking the current barriers to personal and community growth. We also serve as advocates for orphans, women, and the poor. Within
these populations we target at-risk inner city youth in the Kansas City, MO. urban core.
Our vision is to develop self-sustaining, spiritually conscious
and morally guided leaders to combat the erosion of
education, economic dignity, and an overall healthy
community life.

TK: How did you come up with the concept of starting
your organization?
WOOTEN: The organization started with Keith McAlester,
Maurice Birdwell and myself. We came up with the
concept of acknowledging the needs from our personal
situation, struggles, and becoming more conscious. For years we watched and experienced the street life from the penal system, family issues, and economic struggle. We
began observing the elders in leadership positions that had access to many essential
