couldn’t have been a more fitting place to

debut. In picking one of the hardest holes in

the PGA and Intel to bring unparalleled
access through live 360 degree video and
virtual reality.
Produced in partnership with Intel True VR
technology, The PGA Tour is looking to
bring golfing fans closer to the action than
ever before. Through setting up 3 separate

golfing fans the opportunity to choose their
vantage point on one of golfing’s most
dramatic holes.
Not only was the experience available to
fans who have a Samsung Gear VR headset,
but THE PLAYERS Championship also
marked the first time Twitter distributed
live 360 video during a major sports event.
To cap it off Sergio Garcia delighted fans
with a first 360 ° view of a 122 yard hole-
in-one.
Unlike many sports, golf poses a different
obstacle with VR broadcasting, through the
differing design of each course. Watch this

VR world of golf broadcasting.
2017 UEFA Champions League Final
This year’s Champions League Final already
delivers an exciting prospect with the return
of Wales’ wonderkid Gareth Bale to his
home city. However, the excitement does
not stop there: for the first time ever the
UEFA Champions League Final will be
available in 360 ° virtual reality. Although
this is not the first live 360 ° VR
experience, BT Consumer CEO John Petter
believes it will be “the biggest multi -
camera live 360 ° sporting event ever ” .
Picture sitting on your sofa on Saturday
night, being able to choose which camera
angle you would like to watch the game
from…Cool, right? Well , the 360 ° allows
viewers to watch the game as if they were
pitch-side or sitting in the crowd.
Due to such high demand to see the 360 ° VR
experience, BT are providing fans with a
free pair of VR Google Cardboard headsets
in order for them to enjoy the final VR
style. Providing easy access for fans to
watch the final has been one of BT’s
highest priorities, and therefore, with only
the need of a smartphone and the download
of their App, these glasses provide fans
with unparalleled stadium access, without
moving from their sofa.
