3 . Project activity & outcomes
Four artists were selected by the project partners to co-create maps of Whitmore Reans with local people that the partners worked with , through film , photography , storytelling , music , sound , light , digital and graphic art . Together they explored key questions such as :
• What do we need more of and what do we need less of in Whitmore Reans ?
• What could make you feel more welcome , more at home and more connected here ?
• What would you put on a map of Whitmore Reans ?
• What is the heart of this place ?
In addition illustrator Kremena Dimitrova was commissioned to create a graphic illustrated map that combined the outcomes of all of the projects . She also collaborated with Vimal Korpal to create a graphic map of his walk around Whitmore Reans .
The work created through these projects was shared in an exhibition at NAC from 26th October to 3rd November . It will also be shared as a digital archive of the project on NAC ’ s website .
The ideas raised by participants about NAC ’ s potential role within the community were discussed at two sharing events held on Friday 28th October . This section highlights the key activities and outcomes across all projects ( additional details are included in Appendix 2 ).
