Theatre of the Republic gives Conway a taste of Broadway
The Theatre of the Republic in downtown Conway labels itself as a cultural resource that offers diverse plays and programs .
For more than 60 years , the community playhouse has been entertaining Conway and surrounding areas with top-notch entertainment featuring some of the most memorable shows from Broadway and off Broadway .
The TOR is presenting multiple shows throughout 2023 .
In January , TOR wrapped up “ Shorty Perkins Musical Variety Show ” and is kicking off February with “ Grey Garden .”
In March , the TOR presents “ A Few Good Men .”
“ Misery ” takes the stage in May , followed by “ Hair ” in June and July , “ Chicken and Biscuits ” in August , “ Something Rotten ” in September and “ Little Shop of Horrors ” in October .
In December , the theatre will present “ Holiday on Main Street .”
Youth Theatre productions this year include “ Newsies Jr .” in March , “ Seussical Jr .” in June , “ The Big One-Oh !” in September and October , and “ Finding Nemo Jr .”
The Theatre of the Republic has been entertaining audiences for more than 50 years .
