The Conway Chamber of Commerce is planning another great Riverfest June 24 designed to give families fun , food and a great sense of patriotism .

Conway ’ s annual Independence Day celebration offers events for the entire family , which typically include an artisan market , games and activities , food and live entertainment , ending with a huge fireworks display at 9:30 p . m .

“ Riverfest is a day filled with fun ,” said Kris Dawes , Riverfest chairperson .

“ The planning committee works hard each year to create an event to make the town proud .”

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the array of activities and entertainment beginning at 11 a . m . at the Conway Marina .

After opening ceremonies , visitors are treated to a patriotic golf cart parade that heads down Second Avenue to Marina Drive . Parade entries are open to the public and participants compete for bragging rights and trophies . There are awards for things like most patriotic , most original and more .

to bring lawn chairs and enjoy live musical entertainment throughout the day and evening . Riverfest ’ s Artisan Market features arts and craft vendors displaying their unique wares .

Local businesses are also onsite , showcasing products and services .

A festival favorite , the Kids Zone , offers an area packed with

games and activities for the little ones . The most popular event is usually the Jello Jump that gives kids a chance to cool off just a little , while getting plenty gooey , making swimsuits suitable attire .

There are also usually bounce houses and water activities .

Food can include everything from corn dogs to funnels cakes ,

shaved ice and much more . There is also a beer garden .

The event is capped off by a fantastic fireworks celebration at 9:30 p . m .
