Want to help make a difference in your community ?
Leadership Conway is an annual program designated to serve existing and emerging leaders with opportunities to learn and grow together , and form professional relationships throughout the Conway area .
For more than 25 years , Leadership Conway has equipped participants to better understand how our community works , build relationships with current and future leaders and become inspired to focus their talents to best serve the community .
Leadership Conway participants develop an invaluable skill set to assume leadership roles and become exposed to involvement opportunities in the community .
The program is sponsored by the Conway Chamber of Commerce . For many years , the Chamber ’ s Leadership Conway classes have served to provide training to men and women doing business in the area .

feel of what Conway has to offer and what the chamber has to offer ," said Conway Fire Chief Le Hendrick , a member of the 2015- 16 class who now leads the program , which runs from September through May . " We like to showcase all of our partners , so we try to spread it out and show everything that we can possibly cram into those nine months ."
Leadership Conway provides
networking opportunities and an inside look at how businesses and organizations operate .
While the primary purpose of the program is encouraging leadership , participants also learn about local government , touring City of Conway and Horry County Government facilities as well as Santee Cooper , Horry Electric , HTC and the Horry County Solid Waste Authority .
Twenty-five people are participating in the 2022-2023 class , which is the maximum number the chamber allows and the largest class in more than two decades .
" We ' re excited about that ," Hendrick said .
Participants are required to be chamber members and to give 20 hours of personal community service .
As a class , members give an additional 20 hours of community service to a nonprofit organization of its choice .
