HITMAN’S BODYGUARD

One day I was on YouTube, I saw this name, and suddenly had many stupid questions and thoughts going on in my head (even though that happens a lot), but one of the main questions/thoughts were “why would an assassin need a bodyguard? It’s not like he has a billboard out advertising his services”.

I watched the trailer, and the minute I saw Samuel L. Jackson I was sold, and immediately checked if there weren’t any kids around, after making sure the coast was clear I went ahead and watched the trailer, and again, I was sold, and had this burning need to go watch the movie, which I gave in, and ran to the cinema the first chance I got.

Let’s get into it… First of all, how Ryan Reynolds’ VIP Bodyguard service business goes down kinda sucks, not for the movie though, just in general, your career sinks because of one occurrence that was not your fault, but hey, when life gives you sh…. Wait we are not there yet.

Secondly… The love element of this movie is displayed in two different angles that sort of plays to the different sides of these two main characters (Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson). Ryan Reynolds is the protector, which we would think that he has enough sense to acknowledge his mistakes and put love first, but he is a dumb a** when it comes to that department, yet the killer, the assassin, the sinner values his love for his wife above his own life and makes it a beautiful yet crazy story, because they fell in love through violence.

The love hate relationship that these two main characters have with each other makes the movie as great as it is, because when in it comes to crunch time, they both make sure that the other comes out alive from any situation, and as much as these days people are critical when it comes to movies and say we know how it will end, this movie makes the journey to that ending very exciting and very enjoyable.

My other point with this movie is that maybe it should have been called “Motherfucker”, because I have never heard that word being used so much anywhere, I think he broke the record somehow… And I can’t finish this review with acknowledging the presence of the ever beautiful Salma Hayek, when I saw her, my heart skipped a few beats, but aside with my perverted mind, her role was short, but so impactful in regards to love and loyalty that you just want to fall in love without even thinking twice.

In conclusion, Assassin’s Bodyguard is a movie worth watching. If it is not in your cinemas anymore, make sure you get it either on DVD/Online or wherever you can buy it, it is worth your time and money!!!
