I was once a child, and yeah I loved cartoons, but unfortunately I grew up in an era where DSTV was affordable only to the wealthy, and having a friend with DSTV was viewed as a precious commodity (in which I didn’t have any). So yes, I did not have access to channels like Nickelodeon, but hey, I got access to NickFest!

I have to admit that the NickFest brought out the child in me one more time. I called it “great innocent fun”, and there’s no experience like spending a morning in the presence of hundreds if not thousands of kids. I found myself chowing down on chocolates so much that I had to remind myself that I get a sugar rush, a massive sugar rush when I eating too much sweet stuff.

The event was greatly balanced, simply because it was worked out properly to the point where it had many people, yet it was not congested; thus allowing enough space to move around and checkout all the fun activities, in which I have to admit that I wanted to do a lot of them, but unfortunately I was apparently too old for... Have you seen how short I am?

I also have to touch on the musical entertainment, which was on point; and I have to say, I think kids party harder than adults. I have never seen kids run that hard for a place next to the stage; and Nasty C made them do just that. All in all, all the performers were great.

My last word: The next time NickFest rolls into town, I’m taking my family for some great innocent fun. Hopefully next time I will be shorter, and be able to convince them I’m a child too... hahahahahahaha!
