DEVELOPMENT GOALS

I
magine a world where no one goes
hungry. A world where healthcare
for all is accessible. A world
where everyone is seen as equal,
regardless of their gender or race
or sexual orientation. A world where
people can expect quality education
and decent work in sustainable cities,
14
no longer worried about the dangers of
climate change. Imagine accomplishing
all of this not only through peace
and cooperation between individuals
and organizations, but also between
governments. This is just some of what
the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs) aims to accomplish.
The SDGs, outlined in the 2030 Agenda
for Sustainable Development adopted
by all member states in 2015, were
created as a global blueprint for the
UN’s call to action to transform our
world for the betterment of all.
