What I learned about Linda over time was that
she had created a company that was
committed to making a landlord’s life easier.
She did that by taking on the day to day job of
communicating with tenants, collecting rents for
them, screening tenants and so much more.
This allowed landlords to work on building their
businesses and their rental portfolios rather
than being stuck in the daytoday operations.
I was also struck by how much she cared for
her very talented staff. It was anything but a
normal employeremployee relationship.
Linda’s hope was that she would create a
working environment where her team members
would love their jobs so much that they would
never want to leave. She loved watching them
grow as individuals, she sought out
opportunities for them and let them take
ownership of projects, and she was definitely a
proud mama when it came to these young
women. Because of her exceptional
leadership, her business Secure Pay One will
to continue on to be a valuable resource for
landlords for years to come.
I wish Linda could know just how much she
impacted the lives of everyone she met. She
was smart, she was funny, and she was a
champion for women and real estate investors
everywhere. But most of all, she was loved. I
hope she knew that.
