SITE ANALYSIS
Quebec House, Old Portsmouth
Portsmouth has the third highest number of
unemployed women under 24 in UK.
Quebec house’s is my chosen site because
of its perfect location, being positioned over
the water and accessed by natural light,
which makes it the most suitable location for
my purpose which is Art therapy. Sunlight is
essential for the activities going on such as
painting, sculpting, etc. Moreover, it provides
positive energy which is necessary for the
healing process.
The view of the sea give a sense of ‘Freedom”
for prisoners who have been released from
prison.
