KEY SERVICES
Innovation Factory (creation of spin-off companies): The ROIC will hire scientists,
researchers, and field experts to explore original scientific hypotheses, conceive and refine
unconventional approaches to research problems, discover market niches where a
technological breakthrough can take place, and develop revolutionary solutions. A
prototype, a breakthrough concept will be developed in the Experimentation Area and,
going through other areas of the ROIC, a new company will be created.
Testing and experimentation: The ROIC team (scientists, field experts) will perform tests
and experiments using the Experimentation Area’s facilities on behalf of the customer.
Companies from other areas (Incubation, Acceleration) can also use the Experimentation
Area to further improve their products/prototypes.
Providing the facilities to partner universities and their students: The ROIC will host
students from abroad to spend a summer or a semester to gain practical knowledge and
experience in the ROIC environment. Students from Armenian universities and research
institutes can also join their peers from foreign Universities, exchange knowledge, create
joint teams, collaborate and work on prized competitions and research grants.
ROIC collaboration platform: Bringing academia, industry, and students together. This is
designed as a collaboration platform where companies in need of research, development
a new product or need to test some new ideas, assign the work to the ROIC who brings
students of Partner Universities to form teams, work on the task and by the end of program
pitch the results to the company. For students, it is a unique opportunity to take part in
creating a more meaningful future as they solve compelling real-life cases.
