ndependent
artist,
Canadian born Mel
Dubé is trained in music
theatre
and
fuses
powerhouse
vocals
alongside her Jamaican
heritage to inspire her
soulful reggae appeal.
Her first internationally
released single “Extra
Side” was chosen to be
featured on Music 311,
a new phone system
initiative managed by
the City of Toronto,
connecting her music
with millions of listeners
in her hometown.
In August 2016, Mel
Dubé released a 12-
track debut mixtape
titled “Road Trip” which
is now available for
streaming
and
downloads
at
meldube.com.
Mel Dubé is a recent
artistpreneur grad from the A/R program at Coalition Music Records
where she completed her latest music video and single for “No Regrets”.
She has performed in music festivals such as Jamaica Music Conference,
Ontario 150 - Arts and Music Festival at Ontario Place, Redemption
Toronto, Durham Caribbean Music Fest, TD Irie Fest, TD Union Summer
Patio Session at Union Station, Montreal Reggaefest, JAM DAY Ottawa,
Jamaica House PANAM Games, Exit Music Festival in Serbia,G.98.7FM
Island Fever showcase and was the opening act for headliners: Sean
Paul, Chi-Ching-Ching, Lady Saw, Nadine Sutherland, Eric Donaldson,
Beres Hammond and Rootz Underground.
