There’ s no stopping Poet Cue Kirk as she chants through Toronto by storm with her fresh dub-poetry sound and her message of peace, love, over-standing and home for Jah people. Our poetic Empress and ReggaeXclusive 2016 Top Dub-Poet is hot off the Yuh Heard Meh! stage; a dub-poetry and art concert sponsored by her theatre company Alpha of Omega Collective( AOC) and Scarborough Arts.
Cue shared the stage with Canadian Hip Hop Pioneer Michie Mee, story-teller Jacquie Du Touit, visual artist Adrian Hayles, Toronto Heritage Drummers and others to bring a unique Roots & Kulcha culture experience to the city. But there’ s still more to come in 2016 for Cue. She’ s back in the studio this fall completing her debut album“ Ah Home”, now postponed until Dec 2016. Cue and Alpha of Omega will also be in Ottawa Nov 11th for the Nation’ s Capital first Rootz Reggae Pop-Up Bar Listen Up! at Avante-Garde Café; and on December 14th you can catch Cue at Scarborough Arts for her dubpoetry workshop“ The Art of Expression”. DADDY RUSTY RELEASES NEW SINGLE

Daddy Rusty’ s“ Love & Unity” CD which was released in 2003 includes songs like Dancehall Girls, Teach Da Youth, Future Plan, Chant a Psalms and African Queen to name a few. Released on the Boss Record Label and distributed by Tuff Gong Records
in Jamaica, his singles“ Dancehall Girls” and“ Teach da Youths” became big hits in the Caribbean, the United States and Europe. This led to Daddy Rusty being nominated for and winning the Top Reggae Single Award for“ Teach da Youths” in 1997 at the 14th Annual Canadian Reggae Music Awards. For 2016 and beyond, Daddy Rusty is coming on strong, he is in the studio working on new music and also planning to film a video for his new song“ Girls dem Winin’”.
