With two main ranges of clothing, the design studios and factory of Regenerate, Knight and Lee, work to salvage and improve unwanted materials
whilst providing an educational experience to shoppers. In order to meet demand and create an attractive and realistic work-place for all who
work there, I have considered the range of textile, meeting, relaxation and office facilities necessary. From individual desks and sewing stations with
display space and material storage, to large laser cutting machines and communal stitching areas, there is ability to both experiment and create as
well as produce and meet demand. As a self sufficient, all encompassing premises, all of the clients needs are catered for, from photography studios
and changing rooms, to fabric storage and online order packaging areas. Regenerate strives to be an enjoyable experience for both shopper and
employee, thus further demonstrating the ease of sustainability. By designing recycling bins in-keeping with the client’s identity, what may otherwise
have been an insignificant moment or even a nuisance is made memorable and enjoyable.
Reformation- Sustainable Sewing Factory + HQ
Reformation, were the first business in America to accommodate the anti-waste design, production, photography and shipping of their products, all
from the same location. Previously a bakery, the 35,000 square ft factory has been adapted into a bright and open plan workspace. Dividing up the
space, partitions seek to create meeting rooms, design studios and office areas, whilst providing attractive and much needed display space. Both their
concept and the design of their workspace mirrors that of Regenerate, with a factory and industrial aesthetic evident and a bright, open plan studio.
