Charlene SanJenko

Charlene SanJenko is an Indigenous Storyteller , Impact Producer , and Media Visionary . Born in the Splatsin Band of the Shuswap Nation , of BC , Charlene believes in creating from a place of collective genius , and celebrating congruent , cohesive partnerships that bring stories of hope and possibility fully alive .
Charlene works in the space of inclusive innovation where she is introducing a new approach to align progressive creative projects with strong brands with the intent of striking partnerships and impact investment to propel lasting success for all involved . Partnerships put the jet-fuel behind Indigenous film and transformative stories by underrepresented creators that will shift the narrative to lift our society .
A Canadian woman and two-time founder , Charlene holds a solid reputation in the social impact space with former corporate background in investment services , marketing & communications , and impact production . She is a former two-term municipal ( rural ) politician , community economic development enthusiast , and horse lover dedicated to radically transforming how creative resources are allocated and to whom , for the highest purpose of all our relations .
As an Indigenous Storyteller and emerging filmmaker , she works closely with her Indigenous teacher and knowledge-keeper Wenecwtsin , former Kukpi7 Wayne Christian , on her return to community , cultural learnings , and intentional creative process . Her daily passion is fuelled by Wenecwtsin ' s teaching that " We can heal ourselves and our families in three generations if we keep it a sacred priority ."
Charlene surrounds herself with award-winning filmmakers , industry mentors , and progressive advisors to guide her journey who also belief in the power of storytelling as the most powerful lever of change for our generation .
