Rubio ® WoodCream
Like water off a duck’s back...
One of Rubio Monocoat’s latest product
innovations includes the new Rubio ®
WoodCream which was specifically
manufactured to protect exterior vertical
wood. The high quality cream protects the
wood from UV exposure as well as gives
the wood an aged look and feel. Due to the
cream structure, it is easy to apply, especially
on vertical wood. Rubio ® WoodCream makes
wood water repellent and acts as a barrier
between the wood and water, like water off
a duck’s back...
The Rubio ® WoodCream colour range consists
of 7 shades of grey, from a lighter to a darker
aged look which gives the wood a natural
pearl effect just 3 hours after application. A
transparent version is also available that makes
the wood age naturally, whilst protecting the
wood and making it water repellent and acts
as a self-cleaning function. Depending on the
chosen colour, wood type and orientation of
the vertical wood, the chosen colour will last
between 2 and 5 years. After that, the natural
grey shades will gradually take over.
Rubio ® WoodCream is environmentally
friendly with 0% VOC content. It can be
applied with a brush like a standard paint or
with a sponge which makes it very user friendly
for anyone applying it. It can be applied on
all wood species and does not form any film
or flake off. Rubio ® WoodCream requires
very little maintenance and aftercare. When
cleaning the surface after treatment one can
just rinse the surface with water.
Rubio ® HydroCream
A wax-based cream that paints and protects wood,
stone and other mineral surfaces...
Thanks to the success and many advantages
of Rubio ® WoodCream, we discovered that
the product had so much more to offer. By
combining our 20 years of in-house experience
in chemical building products and the results
of multiple tests and research, it turned out
that we could apply Rubio ® WoodCream
on other surfaces than wood, like stone and
mineral surfaces.
So we proudly present you the extended
version of this product: Rubio ® HydroCream.
The revolutionary Rubio ® HydroCream is a
wax-based cream that gives wood, stone
and mineral surfaces a covering look and also
makes it water-repellent. This results in a long-
lasting and high-quality protection. Thanks to
its cream structure, Rubio ® HydroCream is
easy to apply on vertical wood.

Rubio ® HydroCream can be used as a paint
and will be available in 2 collections: the
Traditional Collection and the Scandinavian
Collection.
The Traditional Collection is partly based on
the available Rubio WoodCream colours we
offer now. On the one hand, you have the
opportunity to create a beautiful grey exte-
rior design, and on the other hand you can
still have an aged look by simply changing
the application method. For the second part
of this collection, we wanted to include tra-
ditional warm colours like off-white, brown
and taupe tints. As updated neutrals are very
‘hot’ right now, the Traditional Collection has
everything you want!
The Scandinavian Collection is inspired by
the typical coloured houses you find in the
Scandinavian countries like Denmark, Nor-
way and Sweden. Start dreaming about your
exterior design in one of these 10 Scandina-
vian colours, like ‘Oslo Ochre’, ‘Swedish Red’
or ‘Aurora Blue’. In the collection you can also
find ‘Snow White’ as a colour for a modern
minimalist style and numerous combinations.
