The homeowners at Woodstock Road
wanted to inject a new lease of life into
their large an imposing 1920’s family home,
which had been in the family for a great
number of years. Holland Green Architecture
worked closely with the homeowner to
sympathetically bring the design of the home
into the 21st century while offering a gentle
nod to the heritage features of the home.
To achieve this, Mondrian® Glazing systems
were specified featuring slim steel sightlines
to create a sophisticated glazing aesthetic to
create a traditional Bauhaus inspired design.
This style of glazing boasts thin steel frames
that allow an abundance of light to flood
into the internal living spaces. This house
benefited from the installation of Mondrian®
doors as this provided connection between
indoor- outdoor living.
Art Deco style glazing design was used
throughout the home for a traditional steel
glazing aesthetics.

The Mondrian external steel doors were
created in a Belgium door configuration to be
easily opened throughout the year with fixed
panels alongside the wide large doors.
The Mondrian Glazing Systems offers thin
framing which provides the homeowners
with incredible and unrestricted views of the
outdoors while allowing fantastic amount of
light to flood through the internal living space.
Soft and warm tones were used to juxtapose
the dark colours of the steel framing
systems. Wood is used throughout the
design in the interior home to add warmth
and sophistication fitting well with the
aesthetic of the property.
Art deco design is increasingly popular in
new build and renovated properties and
Mondrian® Glazing is an on trend glazing
design that’s being used to meet this.

homeowner’s requirements.
Woodstock Road opted for dark black frame
to the external doors as a bold statement
whilst creating a cohesive design meeting the
resit of the interior of the home.
