DRU launches new Dik Geurts Aste wood stove
DRU has released a new addition to its Dik Geurts collection of contemporary wood stoves.
Aste is a rectangular stove with a 4.9 kw heat output and a large, clear viewing window made from
heat-resistant infrared glass.
It has a sturdy construction with classic splayed legs and a smooth anthracite finish. The flames
and heat settings are adjusted by a simple slide control and there is a cool touch handle.
Aste can be installed as a freestanding stove or inserted into an inglenook chimney opening. It has
the option of an external air version for clean burning and high efficiency.
The Aste, just like all the Dik Geurts stoves, is Eco Design ready with an A+ energy rating. From
January 2018, all gas fires and wood stoves must conform with this European directive.

Aliva UK wins INCA award
Aliva UK is celebrating a top Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) award for a
stunning, sustainable office design.
Aliva beat off stiff competition from five other developments to win the Architectural Design Award
jointly with AEW architects for the £15m headquarters of Wrexham-based telephone answering
firm Moneypenny.
The awards recognise the UK’s most successful external wall insulation projects. Aliva UK was also
shortlisted in the Excellence in System Design category for the same scheme.
AEW Architects selected Aliva for its expertise in offering complete solutions. It delivered every
aspect of the façade design, from panel layouts and window details to a bespoke façade fixing
system. Aliva worked with AEW Architects to develop a design of clean, crisp render that wraps in
unbroken lines around the building.
