CARPENTERS USE BENCHMARX TO TRANSFORM OLD BARN

A Benchmarx kitchen has been used to full effect to update a more than 200-year-old dilapidated Grade II listed building.
EJY Carpentry, located just outside Rugby in Warwickshire, are no strangers to challenging jobs, but this old barn allowed them to showcase their creativity.
“ This was such a difficult job, but and then adding an acoustic cinema
Fast forward six months and the overall project has been completed, and the bespoke design kitchen combines a rustic look with a sleek, modern finish.
“ This job was a particular one-off,” reflected Alex Hopkins, co-owner of EJY Carpentry.“ We were given free rein to be creative.”
The kitchen element of the build features Benchmarx’ s matt black True Handleless range as well as a Bellagio stone marble-effect worktop.
“ As it was a bespoke kitchen, Myah Turton from Benchmarx in Rugby knew we wanted black and helped us realise our vision.
“ The quality of the range is exactly what we needed for this type of product, but we had to chop and change it to get the final finish.
Myah deserves so much credit as we could not have done it without her.”
With the final product also containing surround sound, the creativity did not stop there as EJY built a speaker system into the wall cabinets.
They did so by taking the glass out of the door, inserting the speaker mesh to give it the same impact as a normal speaker.
Alex said:“ This was spontaneous. I woke up one morning and thought this would be a good idea. I am delighted with the outcome.”
