STRONG START TO 2025

Quality QI sees Pexhurst complete jobs worth almost £ 15m
Leading fit-out and refurbishment contractor Pexhurst has concluded a successful first quarter having completed several refurbishment projects across multiple sectors, with a combined value of almost £ 15m.
The completed schemes supported clients in the contractors’ two key sectors, industrial and logistics and office refurbishments, with geographic coverage across the South East and Midlands.
At 300,000 sq ft, Pexhurst’ s help with Logicor’ s ongoing estate regeneration at Paddock Wood Distribution Centre in Tonbridge held the leading spot for project value and size. This completion means that Pexhurst has now completed work on site worth more than £ 6m since 2020, with the latest scheme overcoming live sites complexities meaning that tenants did not have to pause their operations.
Martin Vella, managing director at Pexhurst, said:“ After receiving several instructions in the late stages of 2024, we knew it was set to be a busy and exciting start to the year here at Pexhurst. Our team has kicked off 2025 with impressive results, completing several projects that have satisfied our clients and exhibited our many strengths.
“ We started this year with a clear list of aims and priorities, including continued growth in the Midlands and home counties, and increasing our foothold in the industrial and logistics sector. It’ s very pleasing to see our early efforts this year contributing to our evergrowing portfolio of successfully completed projects. Not only are our clients seeing the benefit of our ever-growing sustainability expertise and dedication, the same applies to ourselves as we make good strides forward towards our 2030 net zero target in scope 1 and 2 emissions.”
Often now recognised for its industrial and logistics refurbishment credentials, Pexhurst also started 2025 by completing a number of projects in the office sector – which is where it all started in 1977 for the contractor based in Welham Green, Hertfordshire.
Working with Picton Capital and Vanquish Properties in Colchester and central London respectively, Pexhurst completed CAT A and
CAT B projects which supported with decarbonising workspaces and implementing the latest modern fit-out methods to increase productivity, comfort and wellbeing.
Martin added:“ The office sector is still important to us and there are lots of interesting market trends that mean clients are making important investments to add value to their property assets. One interesting trend we’ re involved in is the conversion of offices to educational spaces. Using our ongoing project in Hemel Hempstead as an example, increasing SEND provision is the motivation, which is an important issue for communities across the country. We’ re actively contributing to client ambitions and are firmly committed to maintaining the variety of sectors that we are making a difference in.
“ Our start to 2025 has laid a firm foundation for further organic growth at Pexhurst and the opportunity to implement our progressive and dependable approach to highquality, sustainable fit-out and refurbishment projects moving forwards. We have a clear vision for the future and a strong pipeline of work to help us achieve our goals for 2025, making us as confident and strong across the board as we’ ve ever been.”

Similarly demonstrating the scale and quality of Pexhurst’ s delivery in the industrial and logistics sector was the 157,000 sq ft scheme completed for Prologis in Daventry, also proving an important project by supporting Pexhurst’ s expansion into the Midlands market.
