Debbie Leigh , Design Manager at ILIV , gives us her tips on choosing the ideal Living Room colour theme for your style and space
“ When choosing a living room colour , start by considering the mood you want to create . For a calming atmosphere try soft , neutral tones like beige or light grey , or if you prefer something with more energy and personality , then vibrant colours like teal or mustard yellow might be more to your liking ,” says Debbie .
“ Next , consider the size and natural light of the room . If you have a small space then lighter shades can help to make it feel more open , whereas darker colours are more suited to creating a cosy , intimate vibe . You may also want to bear in mind any existing furniture , décor and adjacent spaces to maintain a cohesive flow . Another good tip is to test sample swatches on your walls at different times of the day to see how lighting affects the colour before making a final decision ,” Debbie comments .
She continues , “ When carefully planned , grey and yellow can work beautifully in a living room . If you are planning to use yellow as your main colour then it ’ s best to go for a more muted shade to keep the
