KRASI DELIVERS 120 MINUTES FIRE PROTECTION USING PROMAT BOARD ENCASEMENT
Krasi Fire Protection Ltd has completed the installation of the Promat VERMICULUX ®-S board encasement system to protect the structural steel frame of an industrial refurbishment project near Oxford.
Working alongside the main contractor, the specialist passive fire protection company installed 950m ² of calcium silicate boards over 12 weeks, providing up to 120 minutes of fire resistance to lift shafts, staircases, steel columns and beams. The system was installed by trained operatives in accordance with relevant EN standards and subject to regular quality inspections.
Founder Krasimir Mitev said:“ The project was delivered on time and to a very high technical
standard, with design detailing and on-site support from Promat.”
VERMICULUX ®-S boards are A1 non-combustible, provide up to four hours’ fire resistance, are covered by an Environmental Product Declaration( EPD), and are chemically inert, presenting no risk to human health or the environment.
