The group “Russia”
The group “Russia” consists of the Blok-Dmitriev family
(Ivan Dmitriev, Lyudmila Blok, Egor Dmitriev) and their
close friend, Dmitriy Lukanin. The canvases of the group
represent the junction of realism and classicism or, as
described by Elena Selina, “in between schematism and
hyperrealism”. The group carried out several art projects
and held a number of exhi bitions in collaboration with var-
ious artists. They worked with the group “Medical Herme-
neutics”, as well as separately with Pavel Pepperstein, Sergey
Anufriev and several representatives of Neo-Academism.
