Deaths
Grace Loretto Allison, OP ’33 (formerly Sister
Mary Lois) died Nov. 28, 2006, at the age of 95. She
ministered in education for 42 years in Michigan,
Illinois and Ohio, including teaching at Dominican
H.S. in Detroit, Bishop Muldoon H.S. in Rockford,
IL, and Aquinas H.S. in Chicago. She was pastoral
minister for 18 years (with her sister, the late Jane
Allison, OP ’40) at Chicago’s St. Margaret Mary and
Queen of All Saints parishes. She retired in 1988 and
came to the Dominican Life Center in 1996.
Marion Connor Jubb ’34 of Three Rivers died
March 22 at the age of 92. In addition to working
several years at First National Bank of Three Rivers,
she had been a Girl Scout leader, a member of
the Order of Eastern Star and choir director at
Trinity Episcopal Church. She also was a soloist at
the Christian Science Church. Survivors include
two children, six grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Marie Irene Miller, OP ’36 died Feb. 20 at
the Dominican Life Center where she had lived
since 1995. She was 94 years old. She worked in
education for 53 years, teaching in Michigan, West
Palm Beach, FL, and Chicago, IL, and serving as
principal at St. Jude School in Detroit from 1948 to
1954. She worked at Siena Heights in the Registrar’s
Office from 1971 to 1987, and then volunteered
in Siena’s Archives from 1992 to 1995. Recipient
of Siena’s 1986 Outstanding Alumni Award, Marie
Irene was a longtime member of the Alumni Board
of Directors, and continued serving as an honorary
advisor to the Board and the alumni office well into

Daniel Marie Malane, OP ’40 died Nov. 25,
2006, at the age of 92. She worked in education for
53 years in Illinois and Michigan. She was principal
at St. Anthony School in Harbor Beach in the 1960s
and assistant librarian at Beahan Junior High in
Farmington from 1976 to 1985. She had lived at t
