Alumni directory planned for 2000
Siena Heights has engaged Publishing Concepts of Dallas, TX, to produce and
publish a new alumni directory for distribution early in the year 2000. The
directory will be Siena’s first since 1988. The University will work closely with
Publishing Concepts, gathering current information from graduates of all Siena
Heights centers. Watch the mail for your first survey— and don’t miss your
opportunity to participate in this valuable networking tool. Questions? Call
1-800-982-1590 or contact Publishing Concepts by e-mail
([email protected]).
Alumni info: on the web and in the (e)mail
If you haven’t visited the University’s web site yet (or recently), check out Siena
Heights in cyberspace (http://www.sienahts.edu). Encourage prospective
students to visit us, too; our web site offers an on-line application for admission.
Coming soon: an on-line directory of alumni e-mail addresses. If you’d like to be
included in that directory: (1) contact us now via the webmaster e-mail link on the
web or by e-mailing the alumni office at [email protected] or (2) wait until
you find the first short list on our site and respond through the link provided.
Letters to the Editor
“As I read the Reflections newsletter, I
pondered the changes since I left in
1973. I have sent many students to
Siena over the years, including a
daughter, son and daughter-in-law. All
three are teachers, and I’m proud they
graduated from Siena. The worry I
have is that the standards just are not
the same. ...the old lessons of the nuns
have served me well. Your newsletter
showed many of the old guard; how
many do you have teaching like that
today? The name change—was it
worth it? Don’t forget the non-trads
(non-traditional students) and remember that progress does not have to
trample the best practices of the past.”

“The Siena newsletter is very
interesting. Blessings. I loved the
pictures of former faculty — Sister
Benedicta Marie, in particular.”
