Sacrifice
One has to sacrifice everything
for the good will of the Supreme Lord,
and at the same time discharge prescribed duties
without claiming proprietorship.
- BG 3:30, purport -
My dear Arjuna, one who does not follow in human life the cycle
of sacrifice thus established by the Vedas certainly leads a life full
of sin. Living only for the satisfaction of the senses, such a person
lives in vain. - BG 3:16 -
The best sacrifice recommended in this age is called saìkértana-
yajïa. This saìkértana-yajïa, the chanting of Hare Kåñëa, Hare
Kåñëa, Kåñëa Kåñëa, Hare Hare / Hare Räma, Hare Räma, Räma
Räma, Hare Hare, is the best and most inexpensive sacrifice;
everyone can adopt it and derive benefit. - BG 16:1-3, purport -
