"Reflections" A Collection of Writing by students in Bray and Wicklow Collection 1 | Page 3

Why I returned to learning By Colm Shortall The reason I returned to learning was to improve my reading and writing skills so I can help my nieces and nephews to do their homework. I would also like to be able to read them a bedtime story. I would like to improve my maths. I want to learn fractions and multiplication because they are used in everyday life. I also want to improve on short and long division. I like doing the morning classes because it gets me out of the house early. It also gives me the rest of the day to myself. I like the break time because it gives us a nice rest from all the work. I also like it as you can talk to other students and get to know them a lot better. I would like to get a qualification at the end of the course. I think by getting a qualification it will help me get a job. I am looking forward to the Certificate Night. The reason I am looking forward to it is that I am getting a certificate for work that I did last year in Personal Finance and Word Processing. I am also looking forward to the night because of all the lovely cakes.
