by all disciplines including science and humanities (music, dance etc.) as PDP practice is based on the state of thinking of those engaged in developing pedagogic practices on the ground, not an imposed set of categories. The next question raised was about how this is affecting Bucks students learning experience? It was felt that the University needs to help students develop academically and professionally, through a process to support and enhance learning and development (Floud, 2002) by  making PPDP an inclusive process, open to all students at all levels of study (QAA 2009)  providing every student with a personal online learning space to build a record of achievement for lifelong learning and take responsibility for their own learning, which could help them to become more effective, independent and confident self-directed learners  enabling them to understand how they are learning and relate their learning to a wider context  improving their general skills for study and career management  developing their ability to articulate personal goals and evaluate progress towards their achievement; and  encouraging a positive attitude to learning throughout life. (QAA 2001) To achieve this purpose, the project team aimed to develop a Bucks PDP framework and guidelines which  integrates with the Bucks Learning and Teaching, and Employability Strategy  places emphasis on the personal, academic and professional development of the individual student The Bucks PDP through ePortfolio project Information about the project was disseminated via Heads of Schools and Departments and three programmes which adopted the professional and employment types of PDP practice and processes based on the projectional curriculum model (Clegg & Bradley 2006) volunteered to participate in the service evaluation of their PDP implementation.
