British Asian Trust & Coutts
Singer songwriter Sonna Rélé helped the British Asian Trust raise more than £60,000 for five high-impact South Asian Charities at a special 'Dragon's Den' style fundraiser hosted by Coutts Bank, in association with The Funding Network, at its headquarters in London. Sonna sang a special number written for 'Educate Girls', one of the participating charities, for whom she raised £18k. The unique event, which brought together more than 200 people to 'change the world' through the power of collective giving, was hosted by Nitin Ganatra. Nominated charities were represented by Radio 1 DJ Nihal Arthanayake, actress Laila Rouass, TV presenter Mishal Husain, actor Hari Dhillon and BBC journalist Ritula Shah.
