2012: An Exceptional Year
2012 has been an exceptional year. Celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the hugely successful London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games has given us a sense of excitement and unity against adversity. The Games also showed us what a group of volunteers can achieve and that giving selflessly is an emotionally satisfying experience.
My ‘Review of the Year in Pictures’, which started last year as short homemade video clip of a photo album, has this year spun out into a full blown 26 page magazine thanks to the Joomag.com software. I am amazed that I have covered over 50 events, tightly packaged into this DIY magazine and equally surprised that I have managed to catch up with so many of you throughout this action-packed year.
And if you are wondering why there are so many pictures with me in them….well, this is my magazine and I’ve got to have something to show for my year! I hope that I have done justice to many of you – it is a privilege to photograph you, be pictured with you and generally a pleasure to ‘hang out’ with you all.
